We the parents of Westgate Community School respectfully submit the following unified statement and requests: 

We believe that we need to reestablish trust in order continue the strength of our community.

We are deeply concerned regarding the way the administration has handled the recent resignation of Mr. Jonathon Hopkins.

We are deeply saddened by this loss for the entire Westgate Community.

We are deeply concerned by the administration's decision to make such an abrupt and significant decision that will have a profound negative impact on the education of our children.

We respectfully request that Mr. Jonathon Hopkins has a right to speak to the students and parents and provide his version of the story and clear his name and reputation.  

We respectfully request that the Westgate administration and board provide a honest explanation to the parents why they have made the decision to ask such a well-respected and hard-working teacher to leave Westgate Community.
