Westburn is used constantly as a skateboarding park so a redevelopment would be extremely worth it.

I really think this would be a great investment as the transition exetreme skatepark is very expensive to go to and a fair distance away from local skaters, I am not hating on them or anything but we do need a new place to skate and this would be the best possible solution. Also the current skatepark is in such a state that certain parts make it really quite dangerous and a danger to smaller children. A lot of other cities have had reasonably good skateparks built for the locals recently such as Carnoustie and Arbroath which are good size fun parks and Aberdeen should defiantly be next in line. The skatepark would also act as a social meetip point for various groups of athletes and this would become a second home to some of the kids desperate for a new park. If this idea really does go ahead please make it a good park and thank you.

Skateboarding is a crucial understated activity that supports many of the creative developments in Aberdeen. It has a wealth of attributes that play a key role in adding prosperity and culture to the city. ACC you should probably back this one… like really back it… no half measures, you will only be rewarded if you do, 70k from private investors won’t do it this needs major funding and support. A superior outdoor facility is needed to enhance the park and to put us inline with what other European countries offer. Listen to the youth they’re the future fabric, don’t ignore them.

Aberdeen has a fantastic history within Skateboarding and its about time that was reflected in its facilities. A large scale, outdoor skatepark free to use would be fantastic.

It's about time Aberdeen had a good outdoor skate/BMX facility like every other Scottish city. Free to use by all the public
