This is crazy! I will never support the Y if such changes take place!

This practice of allowing individuals to choose whichever restroom or locker room they choose would be the end of the YIMCA as we know it.

Our family will not even consider joining the Y with this policy in place.

I think this is outrageous. I will be dropping my support of the Y. My children are not safe there.

Our family has had a membership at the West St. Paul YMCA in past years, and we absolutely disagree with this current practice!

We left the Y after my kids saw the guy hanging around in the bathroom that my kids had to use.
The family bathroom doesn't have access to the outdoor pool. We would use that. But you must access the outdoor pool by going through the public bathroom.
I don't feel safe leaving my kids at the Y without supervision.

We have had our 3 girls on the swim team there for many years and have allowed them to independently use the locker room after practice. That won't be allowed any more. I understand not wanting to use the locker room of their gender assigned at birth but there is a family locker that is an ideal option! You can't just allow men to use the women's locker room without informing all guests beforehand. What about privacy???? This whole thing is unbelievable.

To me open locker room policy is a form of sexual abuse.

There are better ways to go about this and meet everyone's needs, beliefs and safety concerns.

My child is a member of the Y, and we will be cancelling his membership if this goes through. Why are you willing to sacrifice the safety and security and the innocence of thousands to satisfy the whim of one or two or ten???? You are afraid of standing up for an individual's right to privacy. Put in a separate individual one person shower/bathroom for the needs of a transgender person. I have a right to not feel violated by a person with different genitalia seeing me naked. It is a basic human right!!!

Allowing mentally disturbed people to demand access to young girls dressing room is intrinsically evil. The director is apparently mentally disturbed as well and should not be in any position of responsibility.

We would NEVER join YMCA if you allowed this. It blows me away that this is even being considered.

Most reasonable people of practical minds would be against this trend in our society - we shouldn't be kowtowing and placating to every little trend in society to the detriment of the common public.

My family of 5 are YMCA members. If this in enacted, we will leave. Males are males, females are females period! Don't forget the "C" in YMCA stands for Christian.
