please consider another private locker room for either families that do not wish to expose their children, or for those transgender individuals. I do not want my child to see male nudity in a women's locker room.

YMCA: If you think you are noble for allowing men into womens/childrens locker rooms, you are wrong. Any nobility is lost when you simultaneously strip the rights to privacy of women and children.

I find this practice abhorrent to both sanity and safety. Please, by all means, reconsider the Y's stance on choosing gender identity regardless of biological sex. We are members of the Y. Thank you.

There needs to be a better way of handling this for everyone's good.

How remarkably ridiculous! Girls go into the women's restrooms and genetic males go into the men's restroom. Pretty simple really.

Please protect the innocence of children and youth. We do NOT need men in the ladies' locker rooms, even if they choose to say they are female. I do NOT want my daughter exposed to some man changing in the ladies' locker room. Can we just call it what it is: Perversion? When I was a little girl, I was given the chance to feel safe in the locker rooms, I want that same equality for my daughter--to have the equality of not having to be exposed to men that think they are women. Crazy--and very anti-woman.

I agree with this petition. The YMCA needs to provide better accommodations for non-conforming individuals for the protection of the majority of their members.

I agree with the comment that you cannot compromise the safety of many for a VERY few. Add some privacy doors to the changing rooms and/or single occupancy stalls as already suggested.

I was considering joining the Y. My kids have joined the Y with their mom. Now I'm considering urging them to nolonger go to the Y.

Enough of compromising the safety of the many for a few . They can go into a stall to change.

What if it was a sick man that just dressed like a woman just to see naked women or children. Could happen, I say no deal!
