This is not a good idea.

I'm not homophobic. I just think that if you have sexual physical features that identify you as a woman/man, you should use the restroom or locker room of your identified sex. This helps to avoid perverts in the wrong sections.

There are other ways to provide a gender neutral solution beside allowing people to simply choose a male or female bathroom. Current news has been reporting abuse of the gender neutral facilities on campuses requiring changes in their policies.

I was just considering rejoining the Y for my daughter to take swimming lessons. No way will I do this now.

I have young children. I will not allow my 9 year old daughter to be exposed to a "woman" showing my daughter "her" biological male body parts. My Family is seriously considering other options at this time.

I oppose open locker rooms and breach of gender privacy.

My safety and privacy concerns are not secondary to political inclusion. Safety of children is not secondary to gender identification. At no other time have we put children or women's safety second.

I am considering membership at the Y but this policy of allowing members to choose restrooms/locker rooms based on their gender identity would make my choice an easy "no."

my long-term membership is at risk over this.

I was a member before having children and was considering getting a membership soon, however, I will NOT get a membership at the YMCA if the locker rooms are going to be for any sex.

I am a YMCA member and will have to discontinue my membership if there is not a new policy put into place.

The Y has now become not a safe place for my grandchildren, nor their mothers, my daughters.

This is very troublesome. I do not want my kids exposed to a strange adult of the opposite sex in a female locker room. We deserve our privacy too, and to protect our children.

Allowing non biological wo-men in the women's locker room is a danger to our children and women. This will affect my decision to renew membership or not.

No male bodies should invade the privacy of any females, and male bodies should not be permitted in or through female dressing rooms, bathrooms, or shower room areas. No decent person should participate in a business that allows basic innocent privacy to be violated, ever.

Stop being silly and getting carried away by the latest idiocy. I do not want men in my toilet for obvious reasons and I want my privacy. Just because some male THINKS he is a woman doesn't make him a woman. He would receive no ridicule in a toilet where the genitalia is the same.
