Don’t change one of the main reasons most people buy in west melbourne.

I do not want to rezone my neighborhood. The only reason I built this home in West Melbourne was because of the schools. I want my children at MHS not PBH.

If you take the beachside students that are currently zoned for Mel High and send them to Satellite, that should open up some space for the West Melbourne families that are currently zoned for Mel High. I doubt you'll get as much push back from beach side families considering the fact that their children will not have to travel over the causeway to and from school each day. After looking at the enrollment numbers, I'm confused as to why this wasn't an option to begin with?

I paid a high price to recently buy in West Melbourne. I moved from the Midwest and could have purchased a home anywhere in Brevard County. I would not have purchased a home in West Melbourne if I knew of the re-zoning of the schools. This school board reminds me of the Crooked Chicago school boards. Which school board member is taking money under the table to force West Melbourne students into Palm Bay?..... Which school board member would benefit.... The only effort from the school board has been is to try and sell everyone on how great it will be forcing the West Melbourne kids/families into the C performing Palm Bay school. In the real world.... An A is an A and a C is a C. A is exceptional and C is below average. Don’t kid yourself, the difference is huge.

We moved from Heritage Oaks (Brookshire) to Crystal Lakes West knowing they were zoned in the same schools. We would not consider moving outside of this zoning. This horrible rezoning kills all of that.

We moved here specifically for the zoning!

We specifically chose to live in West Melbourne in an area zoned for Mel High - Strongly oppose proposed rezoning!

Zoning change not fair to students currently enrolled at Melbourne High School who would be required to change. It is even more unfair to homeowners who will lose property value as a result.

I am against rezoning Sawgrass Lakes away from Mel High. We purchased our home intentionally to send our children to Mel High.

Do not bus our west Melbourne students to other schools . It's a serious problem for those who purchased homes for the school district assigned to their property.

I am totally against this rezoning of school District . I bought my first house in West Melbourne only because of better school District.

I disapprove of this re-zoning. Not only will it decrease our property value. It will cause transportation issues. We moved and built our home in West Melbourne knowing we would be going to the schools we wanted our children to attend.
