This is a petition for West Holt Public School to have a Sadie Hawkins Sweetheart Dance. A Sadie Hawkins dance means that the girl asks the guy. The Sweetheart dance is basically like a homecoming; grades 9-12 can go, but you dress up.

I have spent all morning staring at the school calendar wondering if there is actually any reason why we cannot fit this in between the basketball games and the winter break. It just feels like such a simple way to change up the routine even if the administration keeps giving me those confused looks when I try to bring it up in the hallway.

I was looking at the screen and just realized how many people actually want this dance and it feels like the school might finally have to listen to us. Honestly I was worried nobody would care but seeing this momentum building is wild because maybe we are actually going to get our sweetheart dance after all.

I think this is a great idea. why not let the girls ask for once, its 2016!
only if there is good music tho. last dance was kinda weak
it would be so fun to have something to look forward to in february lol
do we really need another dance? school is hard enough already
Sounds like the girls have put some thought into this as far as what to do, how to do it, pay for it, decorate, etc.

Yes, A nice way to break up the long winter. Could be called something like snow week or winter blast. Could have different things scheduled for week for kids to do. A good way to break up the long winter months.
