Greta is attempting to put new words into a continuing mystery within an institutional setting. I don't think the institution is flexible enough. Times are changing so must we.

Gretta Vosper takes a brave progressive path within the United Church. She inspires inclusiveness for many that might not otherwise attend.

If Gretta isn't "suitable," then no one in the ordained ministry is. But don't take my word for it, ask her congregation.

So many comments here are spot on ... and I too respectfully request that the West Hill United Board Chair, Randy Bowes, be present at the review and be provided his right to speak as dictated by United Church policy regarding the review of ministry personnel. If the United Church cannot do this then instead, what will we see? An "inquisition" style silencing of one of the most important new voices the denomination has this generation and more symbolic rearrangement of the deck chairs on a sinking ship - the United Church.

It seems only reasonable and fair to allow the congregation most affected by Reverend Vosper's review to have a voice. Bob Lucy

Gretta Vosper's sermons are very helpful in leading a moral and compassionate life. She is the most effective pastor that I have come across in my 50 years living in different countries.

I support your endeavour to seek a justice of right for speech and expression on behalf of a great and courageous "woman of the cloth"

I am blessed and grateful for my United Church upbringing, cherishing its forward thinking through very challenging times over the years, and taking very progressive action along the way. Now I find myself feeling utterly disappointed and let down by the United Church because of their seeming inability to accept the further progressive action of Gretta Vosper and West Hill United Church. I am speechless to learn that the review process for Gretta is excluding a voice from West Hill in the proceedings, and respectfully request that the West Hill United Board Chair, Randy Bowes, be present at the review and be provided his right to speak as dictated by United Church policy regarding the review of ministry personnel. Thank you in advance for acting honourably on this issue.

Gretta is living the Gospel message, and embodies the values taught by Jesus of Nazareth, including seeing the holiness of all of Creation.

It's time for the United Church to come out of the middle ages and face up to the realities of today where many church members are agnostics or athiests.

The United Church roots are in community. Fit with the community a Minister works work is the most important consideration. West Hill congregation, the community, is at the heart of her ministry and in the spirit and writings of the UC is essential to be at this table.
