Traffic is already congested at this intersection, as many have already voiced. Current zoning is important.

The only road in and out for our subdivision and 4 others very close by is Acworth Due West Road. During rush hour, our entrance is blocked by a half mile backup from the nearest traffic light. This road can't be expanded and can't handle more traffic.

There is already a fundamental lack of infrastructure, or in effect, roads in order to support another subdivision on Acworth Due West Road and Stilesboro area. During morning and evening rush hours Acworth Due West Road and Stilesboro are parking lots and it can take at times over 30 minutes to travel the 4.0 miles to our child's school. We believe that the property is zones R3 for a reason. Northwest Cobb currently does not support the infrastructure and roads to support its expanding population. Traffic is already extremely congested and adding more homes than the property is zoned for will create even more problems in an already bad situation. Removing forestation and putting 55 homes in a location could cause drainage and flooding problems as well. Putting smaller homes on ½ acre rather than ¾ acres would likely have a negative impact on adjacent subdivisions. Additional homes would cause an even more extended construction period which will already likely take several years which will cause traffic, noise, nuisance and noise pollution for the residents of our subdivision and others living adjacent to the project. We adamantly oppose the re-zoning of subject property.

This proposed re-zoning will exacerbate an already overcrowded traffic problem on Acworth Due West Road. There are currently 5 subdivisions close by and all must enter and exit only by Acworth Due West. We don't need more volume.

On Wed., April 26, traffic was 53 cars deep at the stop sign a couple blocks away from the proposed subdivision at evening rush hour. Please address the area's growing gridlock problem before considering a zoning change.

Please stop with trying to shove people into every nook and cranny of West Cobb. We are not East Cobb. We like green space and we would like not to have to get up 2 hours earlier to drive somewhere 15 minutes away because of all the traffic you seem bent on creating. We like sleep too!

I live in and travel through this area three and four times a day for family and work. At times I have counted 40 something cars waiting to mive through the lights at Stilesboro and ADW. The area is already saturated with too much traffic.
QuaLity over quanTity.
Please stop packing people on top of people with regard to overcrowded roads, schools, grocery stores, land use, traffic, etc.

No! The traffic is bad now on Due West Rd,,going to get worse once Summerhour is finished. We don't need more congestion.

I live in this community and can attest that the roads have already become very congested with recent developments. The infrastructure cannot support this proposed development and the community does not want this zoning change.

Quality of our community should be first and foremost over quantity of our community. The more people doesn't necessarily increase Quality of our community and Quality should be first. The more people doesn't necessarily improve the community. First and foremost the traffic situation needs to be evaluated strongly before any other cars are added to these already congested road.
