West Cary residents opposed to Cardinal Charter Academy

There is never a reason against more access to education for our children. The traffic concern is a complete joke. The traffic in the location identified is little to none compared to that which is generated from the additional 700 homes being built only

The N.C. State budget supplies $366M to charter schools already. The FL-based management company stands to gain $2M to run this school. We need state dollars to remain in the public school category. It appears the only winner here is Chatham County. Now they don’t ever have to build the public schools they promised on this side of Jordan Lake so many years ago. Our Town council should be more concerned about the overall impact and thoroughly question alongside the community to understand if this is sincerely filling a need. With 5 schools already within a 4 mile radius, the answer is clearly a no.

The public schools are very good in this area. No need for chatter school. Too close to residential area posing unsafe environment to neighborhood children.

This school is built way too close to the communities, which would cause a lot of inconvenience to the sarrounding families.

A school with 2000 students will pose a significant threat to the traffic in this area with so high density of residence.

My kids are in a charter school with less than 600 students currently. The morning drop off and afternoon pick takes long time although the school is next to a major high way. A school of 2000 students will bring TOO much traffic to the community. We don’t have the capability to accept the 2000 students school.

We cannot imagine how much traffic congestion and accidents this new school with more 2000 students and teachers would bring to our communities nearby. It is unethical to impose this kind of risk and living stress to our communities. We oppose to the construction and opening of this school!

I oppose it for traffic and safety concerns. The school is too close to Weldon Ridge.

The new school is too close to the Weldon ridge neighborhood and with 2000 more students the traffics will be terrible.

I would vote against a charter school in the neighborhood. This will adversely affect our house value.

Instead of stealing my tax dollars to fund a school with minimal accountability, support PUBLIC schools!
