Objection. The proposed new charter school is too close to the nearby residential areas.

If you Google them you could find out that they’re such for profit that they have a terrible system in their schools they don’t even have licensed teachers and the teachers leave usually because they never get a raise and didn’t get paid. So they are truly out for themselves They just for profit not for the children not for the students not the community. The very fact that they would put a charter school in the middle of a residential community shows how much they do not care about anyone or a traffic problem. Also there’s a wicked bend in the road in that area Increasing the chance forfor accidents danger and we’re talking children involved here I am not against charter schools fully but against this particular corporation who is not showing that much success no matter how much they put out their sleek advertising. They don’t care if teachers and students leave because they’ll just sell to new families

A new school is good but we need to better plan the location. The current plan isn’t going to work well rather it will bring a lot of trouble to the community.

I oppose my taxes going to a for-profit educational organization. Not sure how N.C. has swindled the tax payer. Instead, I support my taxes being applied to the public school system.

We have several high schools around the area which serve our communities well.

For more educational choices, but AGAINST an out of state management company’s choice in expansion site. With all the money they stand to make by targeting this high growth area, are they going to help us pay to build out infrastructure needed to support 2,000 students traveling back and forth to school? With no buses, this is sure to be a traffic nightmare. There’s 25 acres for sale on Carpenter Fire Station rd just past the YMCA. Why can’t they build there, further away from currently quiet and desirable neighborhoods?

My daughter went there for 1 1/2 years and hated it. We felt that she wasn't learning or thriving their and now is doing amazing back in WCPSS. This will cause A LOT of traffic as there is no busing. The traffic was horrible at the current location of the school.

This concept is terrible. Public school dollars going to a for-profit company is outrageous! A better use for the anticipated $2 million dollar yearly annual profit would be to build and fully fund another public school.
