Leave the slide alone... Really West Branch? You can't find anything better to spend our tax money on other than to pay someone to tear down a "safety hazard" that you said yourselves hasn't caused an injury at all? Instead why don't you look into passing new legislation that all elementary students must report to school wearing fullfaced helmets and steel toe boots because they just might stub their little toe, fall, and bump their head. Lol..

This has been there forever. No incident reports etc. This is a childhood great and always has been and there is absolutely no reason to tear this down. This is unfair to the children and the history of the slide considering there has never been any accidents whatsoever over all these years.

"I'm a '09 graduate". I'v went to West Branch all my life. This slide has been their all my life an then some. NEVER EVER has anyone got hurt playing on the slide. I wanna see other children enjoy this slide. Yea it dose some thing changed to make it more safe. Cover the concrete slabs with some sort of protective material such as wrestling mats ,rubber tires, shredded rubber, wood chips ect. Removing it completely is not the right way to handle this situation in my opinion. This slide is a piece of West Branch history. It would mean so much to so many people if that slide stayed were it belongs. You take that slide away your taking away a lot of good memories an lots of laugh's, it would CRUSH MY HART to see this memory making piece of History be torn from its family, it's home. I vote for the slide to stay please an thank you. Sincerely; Robert K Foster Jr.
