A great Watersports club much loved by my children and the whole family. Facilities such as caravans are a must in the British weather.

Oxford is a very professionally run centre and people like me come from all over the country to ski and they do not cause any harm to anyone.

Oxford ski club is a profesional run waterski training site. Many people travel far and wide to ski there in order to make this efficient caravans and tents are used. These are professional people that respect the land, lake and environment. Taking that away would be detrimental to the above, the ski site and community as a whole. Having overnight accommodation actually makes it safer and more critically makes it practical for us as a sport. Taking this away will effect local business as OWSC draws people into Oxford.

I fail to see what impact these camping/site facilities have on the local population. As already stated these are all part of the facilities required to allow OWSC and the RAF to offer the best possible service to it's customers, and are integral to the business. Completely support!

This is a great facility that brings many members of the community together to enjoy many different types of activities. I don't understand why the council can object to the use of caravans, tents etc and trying to stop people from enjoying their spare time. The times caravans and tents are being used does not effect or impact anyone and provides opportunity for the facilities to be enjoyed by people from other regions, which in turn helps contribute to increased revenues to the areas pub, shops and restaurants.

My daughter skis on the GB team and stays in our American Trailer on site for short periods. It's important for us to have this available as we run a very busy business and can not always make the journey to the lake. I find it totally amazing that we as a nation are always putting hurdles in the way of athletes that are trying to represent our country!!

I have stayed in a caravan at the lakes when i have been fishing and i have witnessed plenty of other fishermen doing the same over the last 10 or more years. Why are the Council trying to stop our enjoyment of the countryside? Who are they serving by taking this enforcement action?

as i spend many days during the summer enjoying the facilities at Queenford lake i think it is great to see so many people enjoying water sports and it is understandable that some people have varieties of mobile accommodation so that they can either stay over or simply rest/change. I don't understand why it is such a problem to the authority.

I have been visiting Queenford Lake for over 20 years and there have always been temporary accommodation, caravans and tents on the site used by various visitors. It is a great club and facility used by all ages and tirelessly encourages young people to be involved in sport and the outside. Surely keeping the youth off the street and doing something constructive is a good thing.

I can testify that caravans, mobile homes and tents have been used by water skiers, wakeboarders, fishermen and other recreational enthusiasts at Queenford Lakes for well over 10 years. I support the appeal against SODC's enforcement action.

I have known this site for 25 years and there has always been caravans or some form or temporary accommodation on the site used by the many water sports enthusiasts and other recreational interests at these lakes. Why do SODC feel it necessary to waste tax payers money trying to prevent other people's enjoyment of the countryside.

I helped fund the current owners purchase of this site from ARC Limited in 1993. There was at least one mobile home for security purposes at that time and ever since then I have witnessed many caravans used around the lake by skiers, fishermen and other recreational users of the lakes. I fail to see how the use of caravans, tents, motor homes or other such temporary accommodation for purposes ancillary to the activities on the lake would require planning consent and I challenge the District Council to provide evidence of complaints from residents of the village of Berinsfield many of whom are members of the Berinsfield fishing or other clubs or are employed by Williams Performance Tenders (Berinsfields biggest employer) and leasee of one of the lakes affected by this enforcement action. Is this costly enforcement action really in the publics best interest?
