I'm the overall disabled world water ski champion I use the facilities to stay and train at. Without a place to stay in and rest between training sets will impact on many world class athletes alongside all the local grass roots participants the facility serves. Please keep what is there to enable all the services to continue. Fitforlife.

The caravans are integral for staffing OWSC and ensuring the best wordwde coaching talent can be attracted to work ar the lake over summer.
OWSC is a hub for the community and offers a centre of excellence for top class skiers & wake boarders but also a place for local communities, vulnerable children and triathletes (amongst other cohorts) to learn a new sport & promote exercise and improved living...... This cannot continue without staff who will be unable to afford to work in Oxfordshire without accommodation.
Save the lake caravans!!

You have to ask yourself who is complaining? And why? Victor Meldrew springs to mind. When the biggest treat facing the UK is Obesity why are they attacking recreational use of the lakes?

I can't imagine how removing the caravans has any effect on anyone except the skiers and swimmers! Is it not important in this modern age of obesity and (lack of) fitness related illnesses to encourage activity and participation in any thing that gets us moving. The caravans are used to shower and change. Do you think those that complain will like to see naked bodies on the site? Keep them for modesty sake at the very least!

The ability to park caravans is essential for training of the British Teams. The British Waterski teams bring back many medals from world championships every year. I am an International Waterski judge and we need to do everything possible to support our athletes

The caravans are totally necessary and not doing anyone or anything any harm whatsoever. There will be no positive result from the caravans being taken away, only negative results for the business and its customers.

As a regular armed forces user of this lake the caravans allow me somewhere to stay. My drive to the lake is around 2 hours each way and so they allow me to ride at the lake on a Saturday and Sunday without driving for 8 hours.

The static caravan provides somewhere to change, store items essential to the running of a club but most importantly warm and dry to have a brew and bond as a team whilst debriefing and discussing our performance on the water. I fail to see the impact it has for anyone other than the users.

The only people impacted by this enforcement will be the users of the lakes- of which many are serving and retired members of the Armed Forces who would be directly impacted in their ability to participate in the activities provided by the facility.

This club provides an important facility to the sporting pursuits of the RAF and Army, the caravans are a low impact, low cost method of enhancing the access to the sport for all, the local authority should be actively supporting this facility that is producing athletes that represent the nation on the world stage!

If this is what Oxfordshire tax payers are contributing to, then quite frankly the council should be ashamed of themselves and held accountable for the thousands of pounds of valuable cash wasted on this enforcement. With the amount of other burning issues in Oxfordshire, potholes at the very least as I'm sure many will agree this is an utter disgrace that they have nothing better to do. As usual, the burocrats of Oxford strike again.

What harm are these caravans doing really? I have no problems in signing this petition. I have visited this place, and have seen this site, and can catagorickly state that these portable buildings are not obtrusive to anybody, and can not be seen from any 3rd party. You actually have to be on site to see them.

I have kept and used my ski boat at these lakes for over 25 years and i can categorically confirm that there have always been people staying overnight on site whether in caravans or fishing tents or motor homes etc. I am willing to give evidence in support of this appeal inquiry if required.
