This is a recreational facility. The council need to see sense and get their priorities right. Camping and outdoor activities go hand in hand and should be encouraged not limited.

We have just been for am amazing swim and run at the lake with a large group of kids. It was good to see so many families enjoying the great outdoors! The council should be fully supporting these kind of activities. I despair this petition is necessary!!

We are being constantly bombarded with government messages regarding the rise of obesity in children and adults so why would Oxford council waste taxpayers money on such a frivolous action. I have been lucky enough to stay at this lake for the past 16 years and my children absolutely love being there.

There has always been caravans, tents and or motor homes used at this lake for well over 10 years and they allow Watersports enthusiasts the ability to stay on site rather than travel long distances back to home when skiing over the weekends in the summer. Please allow this appeal!!

This is an excellent facility used by the local and wider community and a great training facility for up and coming athletes sponsored by British Waterski who need to stay on the lake for regular training purposes.

waterskiing and stoping over at a lake is one of the fee true family sports that give adolescents a real reason to stay in the family ( parents more often than not own boat ) skiing has been such an an important hobby in the development of my kids to healthy positive adults contributing to our society

Caravans are there to support people who have to travel a long way to fulfill their healthy living lifestyle. These are not permanent fixtures and support the local environment.

Leisure, Sport and Family are fundamental to a healthy society. There is no harm whatsoever to anybody by allowing caravans at this site. There is no hidden agenda, just good clean healthy sport. These waterskiers are not louts. They are responsible people and set an example to all at a professional and exemplary site. This site breeds high quality ambassadors for this country who come from far and wide to train at this prestigious facility. To deprive them of the ability to have on-site temporary accommodation would be wrong on every level.

Though I do not ski or fish, I have three very good friends (all families), who use these facilities. Two are nurturing talented young sons / daughters who are already or will be in the British Water Skiing team. Without the use of temporary accommodation, the parents task would be severely affected.

We love coming to have family time at this marvellous recreational sporting site. We like to come for weekends and need accommodation.
