Women's sex based rights are a necessity. Even though those rights have been won, they need constant protection or they will be lost.

I was a founder member of WEP however if the party does not support natal women and refuses to countenance the possibility of bad actors within the ranks of trans rights activism WEP cannot in all conscience live up to its name. Women suffer violence, abuse, discrimination, in such numbers their individual suffering is not newsworthy - we should not be gaslighted by media and political agendas driven chiefly by Men who want to preserve gender stereotypes and have no interest in the real problems women face day to day because of their natal sex.

What on earth is the point of the WEP if it's not protect women's rights?

Females don't have equal pay, equal representation on Boards or positions of power, one can use abusive or stereotypical language with impunity, violence against females keeps rising and rising and rising etc. => sex-based protections are necessary.

It is important that the rights of women are protected. Trans women should be afforded the same human rights but as trans women. The two should never be conflated.
