This is getting exhausting having to beg other women and agencies that are supposed to protect women to protect our fundamental rights.

Sex not Gender ideology must be paramount in law making.

We should not have to tell the WEP that these issues are crucial. Women are human and their sex-based rights should be protected

Sex based rights are vital for the safety and safeguarding of females and girls .

Sex based rights should be the cornerstone of the women's equality party manifesto. The platform on which campaigns are fought and won.

After being a founding member of WEP and a party activist, I left because of their TWAW stance. How can you have a woman's party that thinks that men can be women?

Women are female. Unless the party acknowledges that, it's undeserving of the name.

Trans people should be free to live their lives without harassment. However, we need to acknowledge that (female) women face discrimination based on their sex, and have lived experience that trans women do not share. It's critical to preserve women's right to meet and organise as a sex class. No one is suggesting that if "trans women are women" we can abolish all trans groups because women's groups will meet their needs. Why then are we seeking to abolish single-sex women's groups? No other protected category is facing such demands.

I was also a founding member of the WE party, but yesterday I sadly cancelled my membership. I am increasingly concerned about the general silence around this issue and the vilification and bullying of women who do stand up. It is an incredibly important issue that should be one of the Women’s Equality Party’s key reasons for being.. I am shocked by its apathy and compliance.

I was a founding member of WEP because it was for women by women. Thank f WEP do not support & actively protect our sex based rights & single sex spaces, it is no longer fit women by women.

WEP was meant to be the missing voice for women - to preserve and improve our rights and freedoms. If they cannot get this basic issue right - what is the point of them? Allowing men and misogynists to have a voice in this party is an absolute win for the patriarchy.

It is crucial that women retain the right to name themselves, organise outside the presence of males and retain safe spaces.

Sex-based rights exist because they are needed; men commit the vast majority of violent and sexual crimes - they are the problem. Please take women's rights seriously.

I am absolutely gobsmacked at the outright idiocy of a Women's Equality Party believing TWAW. We women are not idiots.
