It is important that continued discussion and debate is had over maintaining Women’s sexed based rights. I support the right of all people to live in a world without discrimination. However please do not assert the rights of others by removing mine!

This is a good declaration. We can’t protect the rights of transpeople by trashing trump rights of natal women, lesbian women or gay men. Rights reconciliation processes are essential.

I believe that we must uphold trans people's human rights to live as they wish. However their right to be treated as the gender to which they have transitioned must not be at the expense of safeguarding women and girls. We must uphold biological female's sex based rights as stated in the Equality Act.

Unfortunately, in Canada, self-declaration of gender is already law. As a Canadian feminist I wish you success in preventing the UK from going down this path.

How can you be a WOMENS equality party if you don't know what a woman is? Woman = adult human female. This is not transphobic. It is a factual, scientific definition. A male believing he’s a woman does not make him one. He is entitled to expect human and equal rights and not suffer prejudice, discrimination, violence or harassment because of it. He can dress as he likes and have whatever body surgery he can afford. But that doesn’t make him a woman. Women have fought long and hard for precious few freedoms and safe spaces. The transextremists are part of the backlash. Nothing is so quintessentially male as actual or threatened male violence or rape of women. Nothing is so quintessentially male as a person with a penis lecturing lesbian women and teenagers that we have to sleep with him because he KNOWS that as lesbians we are attracted to people of the same (self-defined) gender, not of the same sex. I assure you he is wrong. The more these men assert their right to have unwanted sex with us, the more they will prove their maleness. The more they demand their right to come into women's safe spaces - refuges, rape crisis centres, toilets, Hampstead ponds - the more they exemplify the male entitlement and power over women that we have been trying to escape from. If the WEP does not, cannot, or will not defend, above all else, women's sex-based rights it ceases to have any useful function.

Sex is biology. Gender is a social construct. Gender norms and the inequalities that woman suffer by virtue of their sex are what I, as a feminist, have been working my whole adult life to address,

It is not 'phobia' to question an ideology. I believe that trans people should be able to live their lives in peace, but they cannot demand that I share their belief that a person can change their sex.
