Women's hard-fought rights, acquired over decades, largely in relatively recent times, are being erased at a pace that is difficult to comprehend. I supported gay rights and the legislation that resulted because it was about giving people rights. I cannot support trans rights in the same way, because that's about taking away rights from girls and women. I entered my 20s with such hope, yet l approach my 70s with dread and fear for the females of the future.

WEP was established to protect and further women’s interests and rights. Why are you now supporting the rights of men?

It is vital to continue to identify people by biological sex as well as preferred gender identity. Gender identity should never be allowed to trump sex in the provision of single-sex services and spaces.

For the first time in your history, WEP, do what it says on the tin and stop pandering to men.

Sex distinction and women as female critical. Transwomen as Transwomen not a subset of women which enables widespread wrongful encroachment and appropriation. Acceptance of Trans with equity not legal affirmation of lies on birth certicates.

As a Labour supporter I recognise that it's important for women that WEP distinguishes between sex and gender, and supports women's sex-based rights.

I was a founder member of the WEP and I continue to support their aims. I Ieft the party because of what I perceived as a reluctance to acknowledge and support the hard-won sex-based of females. I strongly support this petition.

Protecting women's sex based rights is essential if you are to protect women and girls. We can only do this if we can name them. Woman - adult human female.

Without the clear, biological definition of woman, adult human female, the Women's Equality Party becomes meaningless, and might as well pack up their bags and go home. Noone can identify out of womanhood, and ergo the issues we face because of our SEX.

Shouldn’t even need a petition to get this message across to the WEP. It’s a party for women - adult human females. The WEP should be leading the way on this - bitterly disappointing the way in which the WEP has bowed to trans rights activists from the outset. Is it too late for you to engage properly? I sign in the hope that it’s not.
