It is shocking to me that the Women’s Equality Party does not define women as a biological category. They cannot advocate for the rights of women (biological females) if they include biological males in their define of women. It makes a mockery of the whole concept of a women’s party if males are included in the category of women. As long as the WEP include biological males in their definition of women they will be a completely irrelevant party.

The liberal parties are ignoring this issue. It needs to be at the top of policy agenda. If the WEP supports women's sex-based rights (shocked that you are not sticking out your neck on this), perhaps the others will be brave enough to stand against the woke tide that is currently informing government policy.

It is absolutely astounding and honestly, quite upsetting that this declaration has to exist, within the WEP. The WEP by their very existence know how our sex affects women, and that sex matters sometimes, and of course ignoring sex means you cannot fight sexism. But all this has apparently, been forgotten by the women's equality party?!

Woman=adult human female. This needs to be recognized as it once was. We also need to holding the medical establishment to account for what they are doing to.our confused daughters.

Women are biologically different to men, I’ve been shocked at the campaign to erase women from vocabulary, and the abuse given to anyone who dares to suggest that there are issues with the push to define trans women as women, (or trans men as men) Without any safeguards for women’s rights and spaces.

Founder member and former branch officer. Sex matters: it's the basis of women's oppression and it should not be confused with gender. The Women's Equality Party must acknowledge this and stop avoiding the issue, otherwise our party is meaningless. 'Woman' is not an identity, it is a biological fact - and stating this fact is not hateful or exclusionary.

I find it breathtaking that the WOMENS Equality Party is needing time produce a declaration in support of our sex based rights. If you do not support us then who will? I am heartbroken that you prefer to support men than women. You cannot change sex and we are oppressed directly as a result of our sex.

I've seen the violence from so-called transwomen towards actual women, so no, I do not want to share a hospital ward, changing room, etc with them. I've heard how transwomen talk about women, so no, I do not think they have the faintest clue what it is like to be an actual woman, and no, I do not want them speaking over me or representing me in parliament.

I'm signing this petition - I don't agree with transphobic comments posted by others.
I'm signing because I think we should have had a consultation of members by now. It is 14 months since conference, since this consultation was promised.
Until we discuss, sensitively and with respect, our party is and will remain fractured. WEP has always been open to any adult (or young person from 14 years old) to be a member and we are a party of equality. I'm signing because I want dignity and safety for everybody and WEP could lead the way in finding solutions. Particularly when it comes to supporting survivors of domestic abuse, rape, child abuse etc. I'm a founding member and branch officer.
