Hello i'm asking for our community support my name is wendy from carrington avenue oberon many people know me as i have lived in oberon all my life . You may see me out mowing / cleaning /and gardening or at the oberon markets . Some weekends i sell my plants as a HOBBY from my back yard for the last 10 years . In the last 6 months there has been a complaint from 1 person about me selling plants from home . I have been told by council to stop selling them and to remove my plants for sale sign from my front fence . I didnt think i was hurting anyone just doing my own thing playing in my yard and growing seedlings and sourcing plants if i could not grow them myself (especially when i need them for gardening jobs as im not driving 60mins for 1 plant) . I spend a lot of time caring and loveing my plants as i have been bought up around gardening all my life and i love this hobby . Im just asking for the comunity to help me by signing a petition i have at the newsagency wich i know is short notice but needs to be done by 2.30 20th march .Thank you to the people who have supported me through this already . You can also leave a comment here if you cannot get to the newsagency at least i can show i have the towns support.

I am watching our numbers climb toward one hundred and it means so much to see this community rally behind my garden. Please tell your neighbors about the work I do before I head to the council because your backing is the only thing keeping these plants in my yard.

This is ridiculous let her sell her plants at her home and at the markets what the hell is she doing wrong? We don’t even have a nursery any more. We have to go to Bathurst or Lithgow to purchase plants. What is she doing wrong? stupidity all because of one person complaining.
I have brought plants from Wendy, I understand the idea of one complaint but do not understand why anyone would complain as she is minding her own business and not hurting anyone. Her yard is neat and tidy. I have come across worse yards and characters in oberon
Council allowed Food vans to open up in Driveways at local residential area's around Oberon. AS THE COUNCIL STATED TO ME THAT IT IS ALLOWED TO OPERATE A FOOD VAN AT YOUR HOUSE AS IT A RESIDENTIAL / COMERICIAL AREA. So that's what i copped from Oberon Council. So open back up sell your plants i will support you.
Supporting Wendy as we all should be able to conduct our hobbies from home and sell surplus to the community. It is supporting micro business and contributing to the community as a whole.
Wendy is a lovely lady I have bought many beautiful plants from her home and farmers market stall she is the only plant shop in oberon and is an asset to the community please reconsider the decision to shut down her garden

Wendy is a lovely person and an even better neighbour. I have lived only a few doors up from her for the last 15 years. Her sale signs and her plants haven't impacted me in any negative way whatsoever throughout the years. I support her and wish to see her do even more of this type of work in the future.
