I believe it is unfair to fail students if they are not working the last week of April for internship even if they have completed the minimum 40 hours over 8 weeks. It is unfair and unprofessional to threaten students by telling them they will fail for taking time off. Students are not taking time away from their rotations but are working extra hours to take certain days off. As long as students have completed the hours there should be no issue about taking days off as per the minimum requirement set in the syllabus.
Absolutely disappointing and unprofessional behavior from the management. Would not recommend the Doctoral pharmacy program to any future students if they have to undergo this level of micromanagement.

If the preceptors and RCC's were also surprised that students can't take time off even when they have completed the hours, who should be responsible for this miscommunication?

I believe Mr Anson Tang should be in charge of these rotations. He is professional, caring, compassionate, excels in communication and meant for it.
