Having worked on Manu's and Christmas Island I believe the Australian people have a responsibity to ensure the wellbeing of the people especially the children that our government has chosen to place in detention. A government that silences or imprisons people who show compassion and care for others less fortunate lacks morals and ethics.

Nobody should be prosecuted in any situation for reporting any actikons they beleive are against humane or ethical standards. Whaat kind of country do we live in when laws silence those who choose to speak out, john foster.

To Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Minister of Immigration and Border Protection Peter Dutton this signature of mine is my voice and view as a citizen to tell you that the Border Force Act is a vile and vicious act legislated to neither protect or defend anyone but to hinder, silence or jail decent men and women, doctors, nurses and other health personnel in the very roles they perform. This is shameful and disgraceful and an act of Tyranny !! This is not a dictatorship (yet) country!

How can all those politicians sleep at night? Of any party who voted yes to imprisonment of someone who speaks out against child abuse.
It is absolutely disgusting
We have a pandemic of child abuse and the hell holes called detention centres are no exceptions if anything it is worse due to compounding of other cruelties
We need to shine a big light on this problem not turn off the light
They are not getting away with this...they being anyone who voted in favour of this act!

The only time I have experienced this sort of gagging to not report human rights violations was under a dictatorship. It has brought back horrible memories of human rights abuses and violations and I will not sit back and be silent.

Minister Peter Dutton,
The Border Force Act goes against all of the reporting demands of professionals regarding human rights violations.
It is unjust to surround abuse among asylum seekers, particularly children, in a cloud of secrecy.
This must be reversed in the name of humanity!
