How can it be that professionals that are mandated to report abuse are breaking the law if they do.

Silencing our professionals is supporting any abuse, misconduct and violence against these people. How can we allow this!?!?

Would you be happy if this was your children or grandchildren? I bet not! Do something!

This is a violation of basic human rights and it is a disgrace that our Government is allowing this to happen and are standing by doing nothing to stop this atrocity..

The children are in our care and we should rightly care for them.

Very saddened to think we are not protecting children in our care.

Extremely sad to be an RN in a country that allows this sort of behaviour. We can do better.

We must all become whistle blowers if that's what it takes to maintain a democratic and fair society.

How have we become a country that imprisons and mistreats children? A country that tortures their parents, stripping them of their ability to protect their children? That threatens to imprison staff who report the truth?

the Border Force Act is no more than an exercise to maintain the Coalition in government. I am far more scared of the big bad wolf!

I am deeply disturbed by the formation of the Border Force and by its powers.

I am a social worker, bound legally and morally to alert others when a child is experiencing physical, emotional, sexual and medical harm or neglect. I stand together with my colleagues across the country in opposing this abhorrent Act that asks us to put aside our moral and otherwise legal obligation to protect the most precious, most important and most vulnerable people. All children deserve our undivided protection.
