As a healthcare professional, I can tell you that masks are not the end all solution. Studies have shown that prolonged wearing of a mask has long term affects on the body and this should not be forced on someone. If it makes you more comfortable to wear a mask or have your child wear a mask, by all means do so. If the school board would look at the research, you can get the virus wearing a mask, not wearing a mask and after being vaccinated. Please use the school resources in an appropriate manner by ensuring the school is cleaned multiple times a day to protect staff and students, not mandate they wear a mask. Wearing or not wearing a mask should be the choice of the family and each individual staff member.

How many years is this going to continue!? Our poor children need normalcy. This is gone way too far. They will need a reduced day and multiple breaks to have real oxygen. Its just not fair

As a healthcare professional, I can tell you that masks are not the end all solution. You’ll have much better results by spending the schools time and resources keeping everything clean and sanitized multiple times a day. Studies show that long term wearing of a mask can have harmful affects on the body. Let it be the families choice. If you feel safer with a mask, by all means, wear the mask. You can get the virus after being vaccinated, while wearing a mask and while not wearing mask. Please do your research and don’t fall in line just because everyone else is doing it.

If you want to wear a mask, wear one. Do not FORCE healthy children with strong immune systems to stay muzzled.

I can’t sit in a chair with a piece of cloth over my noise and mouth for 8 hours a day for almost 10 months. It’s dumb.

At the end of the school year my child became very concerned about being sick. Making me and her teacher check her for a fever regularly. We have gone all summer with no masks. Daycare just recently reinstated them…suddenly the need to check her regularly for a fever returned. We have to think about what we are doing psychology to our children.

Dr. Fauci just said he hopes masks don’t cause children problems. Developing bodies need oxygen not breathing in carbon dioxide. Masks especially for younger kids can be a distraction from learning, especially if the child wears glasses. Also the boxes of the masks state that they do not stop the spread or transmission of Covid, so why are we punishing our children. If you actually care about children and their education, you will unmask our children.

Northam is not a dictator. His wishes are not LAW. These masks are harmful to our kids. Please stand up for our kids instead of giving in to his tyrannical whims.
