Mystays and specifically Steven Samuel have worked constantly to keep the hotel comfortable and full of amenities for us, and even taking care of crew when sick! It makes no sense to move out!!

THIS MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!!!! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR US TO MOVE! They keep us in beautifully clean renovated rooms and we have our employee cafeteria that they give us a great breakfast at discount price. Steven is absolutely amazing at the front desk and looks over us- we can depend on him to help us unconditionally. I want to know WHY we are moving- it is not necessary!!!!! My Stays is my home away from home.

This change is shrouded in secrecy. From what I understand so far, it just doesn’t make sense. This is not an honorable way to do business in Japan. I sent a message today (Friday, 17 May) to APFA asking for clarification, and will refrain from further comments until I hear back.

As we are requested to "elevate" our awareness and service, I find it very ironic that AA fails to see the "elevated " service we have been receiving for years from NRT layover hotel and call the hotel we are moving to is "superior brand" and "improvement". Improvement because there's a nicer gym and rooms? It's like getting new airplanes and cutting services, and call it an improvement.."

We’ve been staying there since 1987. The staff has always taken such good care of us. Steven has done a fantastic job since he’s gotten the position. Please reconsider.

I felt at home at Mystays.
Steven was such a nice person and took care of us so well even the time when I stayed personally.
All the hotel staff was so nice and made sure we have what we want and need.

There is not another Stephen in any of our hotels! You ask, and you receive! He is the best and the rooms have been updated nicely. They added a nice store in the lobby, that is open 24 hours! If we go to the outdated Hilton, we will have to walk up to take advantage of the crew restaurant and also the 24 hour store, as Delta crews do now. We have been spoiled for 20 years by Stephen and those who complained must be new and uninformed!!!

The Mystays in Tokyo Narita is our comfort
Zone when we are exhausted & just want a familiar homelike atmosphere for a good meal & nice bed on a very short layover! Steven takes care of us as if we are his own family ,which we don’t find at many layover hotels in our system. Please reconsider and let us continue to stay there!

For a country based on mutual respect this change of hotels was the exact opposite! With total disregard for the hotel staff, Steven Samuel and the crews who have been flying NRT for years this was the most covert change of hotels. In the past I’ve been identified as being someone that flew FRA and I was given a questionnaire about a possible move. The last time the contract for NRT was about to expire I was given the opportunity to voice my positive experience at this hotel. No other hotel in the system has a true gentleman greeting the crews like Steven, at at times he’s not there others just like him. The services he has provided that go way beyond what should be expected from a hotel staff member are too numerous to mention. Those who’ve benefited from his actions can retell their stories if any of them had been asked. Where else in our system would hotel staff ask the crew restaurant (if there was one) to stay open longer so that late inbound crews could have a hot meal. Any requests are easily accommodated, including the addition of a nightstand by the bed when crews complained. With the addition of 24 hour family mart food and beverages can be had at all hours! If anyone had to work holidays Steven and the hotel staff always made it feel like spending time with family with all the celebrations they planned at no cost to crews. 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas were always a wonderful experience if you had to work. In closing I’d like to ask those involved in the decision to change hotels to have the decency to apologize to the hotel staff, Steven Samuel and the crews who have formed friendships for the poor way this was handled.
