Signatures against having no study leave at Chailey School, fight for our justice.

Updates

February 11, 2017

Seeing one hundred people sign this in such a short time shows exactly how much we all need this break. I am still exhausted from the pressure but knowing I am not the only one struggling keeps me going through the week.

Seeing the count climb this quickly proves just how much we all need this time to actually prepare for our exams. Please send the link to just three classmates right now so we can hit our goal before I present this to the administration.

At Heathfield CC we've had the option in the past to come in to revise despite being on study leave. Not all people revise better at school, some revise better at home when they're not set to a certain schedule and can work without the extra stress which can reduce memory.

I would echo the comments relating to Heathfield CC and optional study leave. These young people should be able to choose which method works best for them. I also question the date chosen: my niece will have already taken 85% of her exams before study leave starts! Please think again.

Questions for head mistress. Do you have a laptop? Do you ever work from home? Why do you work from home? Why at such a crucial part of our children's lives do you feel it necessary to Guinea pig them with your ideas and without consultation? If they do not achieve their grades will you take full responsibility for this? Shame on you!

There are too many distractions at school and after an exhausting day in school, how are we supposed to perform our best in exams and revise enough? By having study leave we can become refreshed whilst getting lots of revision done in a relaxing environment and have less nerves about exams. Wearing our clothes will allow us to feel more relaxed and concentrate more in exams.

I would like to ask Mrs Key that when she has a crucial final report that needs to be completed if she sits in a room of 30 people or if she does this in quietness of her own office?

I live in uckfield so a large part of my day would be wasted on travelling to and from school and this time could be used for much needed revision at home. Also I find it extremely hard to revise at school as there are many distractions and the school uniform causes me discomfort and I work much better when I am in my own choice of clothes so my focus is purely on my revision.

tbh the year 10s got way too triggered. We all bunked off before half term anyway so what was the point in this petition?
