I was both nervous and excited about the transition of NESCom being taken over by Husson. This is one of the many reasons I was nervous. In a field where on-the-job training is so crucial, it takes professionals who have experience the job first hand to teach our future young professionals. You can not teach video production through a book. Rick Davis is an excellent instructor who has always put 100% in the students he has worked with.

The patience he has for camera newbies is remarkable. Certainly would be a mistake to get rid of him as it would be hard to find someone else with enough patience to teach someone the ins and outs of video. Certainly would be a loss for all incoming and current students having to take intro to video.

I only spent a short time at nescom. But I did however, have a class with Rick and enjoyed the class very much! He is a great teacher and deserves the repsect that he deserves, especially being a veteran!

Husson: Keep our culture at NESCom alive by keeping our wonderful, passionate faculty members. Though I have not had the pleasure of attending one of his classes, the influence that Rick Davis has had on his students and NESCom as a whole is undeniable.

Rick was a great teacher for myself. Even after taking his class we still had conversations when seeing each other in the hall, and would always be willing to lend a helping hand, even if he did not personally know you.
