As a complete non-video production person, Rick made me feel like I could absolutely do everything in my Intro to Video class, and was always excited about everyone's work. Even though I was a marketing student, he always said hi to me when I passed him in the hallway and that always meant a lot to me. Husson needs to understand that its instructors like Rick that make NESCom, NESCom. As a marketing student turned marketing professional (all in thanks to NESCom!), it is simply bad marketing to totally change what made NESCom great. Students go to NESCom to learn practical skills and gain real experience - not simply to go to a communications school. It is decisions like this that leave many believing that Husson is destroying the New England School of Communications.

Rick is an exceptional teacher, and that is an understatement. I remember being a complete newbie with the camera, and he had the utmost patience with me and everyone in the Intro to Video Class. If I ever had a question and reached out to him via email, he'd answer me almost immediately. He gave constructive criticism, always offered additional assistance if needed, and it was truly visible how passionate he was about his job.

I was in Rick's Introduction to Video course in my very first semester. Had it not been for Rick's class, I likely would not have the drive to film and edit my own videos independently like I've done at Nescom time and again. Rick is a friendly, patient teacher with proven expertise in video, and I would hate to see such a respectable person be let go.

If layoffs are necessary, it should not be someone who teaches their subject accurately, thoroughly, and in an engaging manner. Nor should it be someone that is so well loved by his students.

Rick is a wonderful instructor who cares about all of the kids in his classes, doesn't matter if they're current or past. He's great at what he does whether it's teaching or working with video equipment. NESCom prides itself on sending it's graduates into the world of communication fully prepared for their journeys ahead of them. They cannot be successful unless they have a great start. NESCom also tries to make sure its teachers and students are full of character, humility, and integrity, which Rick easily surpasses these guidlines. If you start taking these teachers away from this school, NESCom may lose not only integrity, but quality in education.

Tuition keeps going up and they want to let a teacher go to save money? I don't think so.

He is an amazing man from what I heard and if students are going through this much trouble to keep him that should be a wake up call to keep him

I really hope they change their minds.

I had Rick for a semester at NESCom and absolutely loved him. You can tell how much he loves what he does just by the way he talks about it in class. It would be a shame to get rid of someone that could teach and inspire so many young minds.

Although I haven't had the luxury of having him as a teacher, he is a great guy and I'd love to see him continue at NESCom

Rick is a wonderful person and he his incredibly good at what he does. When I started his class, I had no idea what I was doing. By the time I was finished, not only did I understand the ins and outs of video, I was a having a blast. You would be hard pressed to find someone more loved and respected in the NESCom community, and letting him go would be nothing short of exceedingly moronic.

Rick has taught me a lot this semester, and I know he has helped many others become knowledgeable about video production. He is a really great professor, and it would be very upsetting to a lot of people, to see him gone.

I took Rick's class during my first year of college, it was a great opening class for a freshman & Rick was always an extremely helpful teacher, for Husson to lose him would be a grave mistake.

He is a great professor and an individual if husson chooses to let him go They clearly don't know a great professor when they have one

You're firing a teacher who is "unqualified" when you know nothing about the necessary qualifications. As a college student a degree doesn't matter, experience does.
