The weather Channel reporter, Jennifer Delgado needs to issue an immediate apology to the Haitian people and get adequate training concerning her unprofessional remarks.
One hundred people have signed this now and it feels like a heavy weight being lifted. It is exhausting to keep pushing when the silence from the other side is so thick but this shows I am not fighting alone.

Her apology was vague and unsentimental!!! She lacks in knowledge....extremely ignorant....and says she wants to inform and educate... How can you inform and educate on something you're unfamiliar with....She needs to take a leave of absence!!!!

The comments made by Ms. Delgado were deplorable and incorrect. Haiti is already cast negatively by the world how dare she degrade them during this time. Her apology was just a politically correct statement to take the heat off. She must be reprimanded.

It really is a shame that people are ill informed and pass that ignorance on forward. Ms. Delgado should apologize for her comments or show proof of the Haitian people having to eat trees bease "they" are so hungry. She is in a position of influence and should be held accountable.

There should be fact checkers and research editors covering every aspect of the news, including the weather. It's inappropriate to spread false, disparaging comments about a people. Jennifer Delgado should issue an immediate apology for her insensitive and derogatory remarks.

I found your comment to be very rude and mean to all Haitian living everywhere in the world. Your job is to report the weather why go out of your way to shame us? Yes we are a poor country. Did you read why that is. Please educate yourself before making such statement.

The understatement " children eat trees" made about my country, I find it very disrespecful, unprofessional and innacurate. I would like for some actions (like an public apology or else) to take place on this matter. Thank you
