You're absolutely right Carlos...We need to continue spreading the word and make people understand how important this is to have our music played. This is part of our culture and we shouldn't be deprived of turning on the radio and listening to the music we love.

We need more people to walk the walk and less talk we need salsa on the radio ASAP

There’s a certain sophistication, elegance and intelligence in this music we so long to hear on the radio again. If what is broadcast now were beer, then what we all long for is champagne.

Salsa is not dead, with their actions, they are trying to kill it.

Salsa is an important part of our Hispanic heritage. Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Columbians, Venezuelans, Domincans, just to name a few countries responsible for their contributions to our Salsa culture; have kept this culture alive for decades. Yes folks it has become that strong an influence along with our food, our religion, our traditions and our history. I am witness to more and more new comers to this genre of music. We have the infamous museums such as the Smithsonian, play tribute to our Salsa Giants - Celia Cruz, Tito Puente as examples. Listen these Salsa greats are leaving us, and with them their gifts of Salsa music. The older artist, are sitting at home, wondering when their next mention will be, when they will be invited to record with some of our newer Salsa talents. And our newbies to the Salsa community are doing their fair share of re-rcording the classics, as well as bringing a fresh new influence. Like all things that come and go, Salseros y Salseras, please don't let this genre fall apart, fail, and not be aired. Let's bring back our culture, let's "band" (pun intended) sign this petition so that we keep our music alive. Why can't we keep what we want, other genres, other groups, other countries keep what they want in the know, and alive. Why not us Salseros! Join me and the other 293 signatures! Totally in agreement with this. This battle is not only unique to the Ti-state area, but all through latin america and Europe where salsa is played.

It is imperative that mainstream radio give more airplay to salsa at the same rate as other genres that have literally knocked salsa out of the airwaves. Let's honor the musicians, composers and everyone that promotes this music by playing on the airwaves.
