I know I'm older, but the foulness that is heard on the radio is really demeaning to our culture and music. What happened the the romance and beautiful lyrics? Do the broadcasters think we are all that vulgar!!!

It's not only that. It's the system that's been built to insure that Salsa stays down. The Record Companies, The bands, The Little Clubs, The Fans, It's all set up against Salsa. They can give a Merengue Band $15,000, but want to offer Gran Combo $8,000. The Orquestas gave up trying to perform. Even if they wanted to perform free, gone are the Days of The Palladium, gone are the 70's, 80's, & 90's. What true Salsa lovers should do is Boycott all Spanish Oriented Stations. Long Live Salsa

I so am in full support of this petition, salsa is a very important part of the cloture of this country. We also humbly demand that our heritage be saved by making sure our music be played on air. As a dj for a community radio station I have made it my mission to use most of all my air time to play Salsa and Charanga, as well as Son Montuno, Bomba y Plena as it is not played on Spanish commercial radio. Please let’s make this happen. I will be sharing this on my facebook page

It has gotten so bad over the years and it's sad because there are so many talented salsa groups out there that can give these big name artist a run for the money. Grupo Arcano being one of them.

As a music lover, I must say I am appalled by the lack of authentic salsa on the air waves. Every now and then we need a reminder as to what our culture is about and the struggles that kept us going. Also, there's a lack of representation of salseros who are trying to carry the torch. Let's sow the seeds and que viva la salsa!

La salsa es lo mejor, nadie dice que la música que colocan en las emisoras comerciales sea mala ,el problema es que sí no se les da billete no colocan la música de las orquestas nuevas y que tienen unos trabajos musicales muy buenos
