Etant donné leur politique de privilégier les classements par catégorie au lieu du scratch, je ne vois vraiment pas pourquoi ça leur pose problème de faire des départs séparés en fonction du groupe d'âge...

agree 100%.
the focus should be on the integrity of the sport, not maximizing profits (putting more and more athletes onto the start line so the bike course is packed, but if a race does not sell thousands of entries it gets cancelled - eg. IM Maastricht...)
