She makes anthropology easy for everyone--even students outside of the major. Many friends have taken this class, and they can agree that she's one of the greatest professors we've had. Please keep her here so that students may continue to learn from her.

Professor Blatt has really pushed me to be exceptional in all that I do. Her class is one of the best classes I have. And her class is my highest grade despite it difficulty. I feel that losing Professor Blatt would drastically weaken the Anthropology Department.

I am currently enrolled in one of Dr. Blatt's classes. She is one of the most engaging professors with whom I have ever had the opportunity to study, and I had already made plans to enroll in several more of her classes before I heard the devastating news that her contract may not be renewed. I believe the Department of Anthropology will do a great disservice to itself, and even more so to its students if it does not retain Dr. Blatt.
In my opinion, a strong university anthropology program can only exist with a diverse faculty representing all four (maybe five now) fields of anthropological focus. Dr. Blatt is the only biological anthropology pillar for the BSU Department of Anthropology. Remove Dr. Blatt, and the reputation of the department may falter in the minds of many, not to mention weaken the department as a whole.
I implore you to reconsider, and keep Dr. Samantha Blatt at Boise State University!

Dr. Blatt has become one of my most favorite teachers I have had at BSU. She is incredibly intelligent and qualified to continue teaching. Having taken her Biological Anthropology class has mad me want to continue taking Anthropology courses throughout the rest of my college career. I was extremely disappointed to hear she would be losing her job. We need to try and find other funding to allow her to stay. Tuition costs should go towards proper education from qualified professors such as Dr. Blatt.

Not telling someone that you are eliminating a program... and thus their job.. is despicable. Honestly.. the anthropology needs a bio program since it is severely lacking and she is the only one qualified to teach it.

I had dr. Blatt my first semester of Boise state. She inspired me like no one else had done before. She teaches to an extent that reaches out near and far to all students. She is an exceptional professor and it would be a deep heart break for the campus to ever see her go.

Supplanting tenured track faculty with adjunct faculty will ultimately doom a degree program to become mediocre at best. BSU deserves better than that. Save a few bucks at the expense of academic preeminence is short sighted.

I've had one anthropology class with her and that one class nearly convinced me to switch majors. She is an amazing professor, one that can do nothing but add to the success of the students.

Keep Dr. Blatt! I didn't take a class from her, but from those students I know who did, indicated her professionalism and that she is a great teacher. She is an important asset to the Anthropology Depot at Boise State!
