Jason Pithie for Norwell Football Coaching Staff 2017

NHS and school committee need to move forward and do right for our sports programs, leave the past in the past! There is no reason Jason Pithie should not been given an opportunity to join the football program, STOP making excuses. Jason has been not only been a coach but a mentor for so many of the high school and youth boys. A dedicated family man, Norwell High School alumni and successful business man. The high school football program needs coaches and Jason has offered to volunteer and dedicate his time and efforts to make it one of the best in the league. Please reconsider your decision and allow Jason to assist in coaching this team, the team needs him and the boys respect him and his coaching.

Jason Pithie has coached my son Joe in various sports throughout the years, and he had been wonderful! He is very dedicated to the kids, works closely with every one of them to help them develop their skills, gives ample play time to all, and is a very encouraging and inspiring coach. I am shocked and disappointed in this decision, and question the fairness and "politics" involved. Why were the demands and threats of several anonymous parents considered, but not the widespread support of many others? Please reconsider this decision. Thank you.

Jason has been a friend and a mentor to my son and I for 6 years. We first met on the football field when my son was trying out for Norwell Youth football. Jason gave my son the chance to play football, coached him on and off the field and would always do anything to help. The sport of Football and his players are parts of Jason's soul - its in his blood and he doesn't know any other way. My son is now half way through his high school football career going into his Junior year. He will only go to High School once in his life and I am dumbfounded at the decision that was handed down the other day. The Norwell School Committee and Administration are supposed to represent the tax paying citizens of Norwell. How is it possible that their decision does not align with all the great people on this petition ? The School Committee and Administration should consider how many boys like my son they are affecting by not allowing Jason to coach. Where is the representation we deserve from our Town officials ? Why can't we make our son's high school football experience the best it can be ?

Let's drop all the politics. Jason is qualified, caring, & wants nothing but the best for our sons. We are very limited in coaches I am told right now & he is willing to do this as a volunteer. Time is now for NHS football take a step in the right direction & build on last years success. Hire Jason Pithie

I have known Jason pithie for a little over a year but for that time he hasn't be only a coach he has been a very nice role model, his family is the very nice. We still stay in touch and I would Like to let you know mr pithie is a hard working coach and is great with his players ( coming from one of his players). He has pushed me to be the player on and off the field that every player would want to be.

Mr Pithie has coached my son Jason since Pop Warner. Jason will be a sophomore this year and he wouldn't be the good player that he is if wasn't for Mr Pithie 'a coaching.

I am extremely disappointed in the need for a petition to allow Jason Pithie to be on the coaching staff at NHS. I am an only parent of a son whose first year of ever playing football was under the supervision of Coach Pithie. Jason went above and beyond with my son and all the kids, no matter what their level of experience was. He made it fun for them, on and off the field. I hope NHS reconsiders this decision as he would be an asset for the team, the school and most importantly he would be a role model for the students.

Jason has full support from the Bostrom family. He is a great proven football coach and will only help the program succeed . It seems like a no brainer to allow Jason to volunteer to help our boys have a safe , fun and successful high school football experience.

Coach Pithie would be the coach we need in the coaching staff. He has led our teams in the past to success and we need to bring that to the high school level.

Jason has our support.

I've been around football as a player, advisor, parent and/or coach for 35 years. I've rarely, if ever, seen the level of interest/passion/participation from an unpaid volunteer as I've seen from Jason. I have had the pleasure of both being a parent of a son who has played for him and as a coach who has worked with him. I know his primary concern is enhancing the experience of the player. Both the players and coaches of NHS' football team would benefit from having Coach P on board.

My dad has been coaching football for as long as I can remember. I have been to almost every practice, game, and late night play-making session. I have seen all the sweat, blood, and tears my dad put into the team that he loved. I remember every year during school I looked forward to going to football practice with my dad just so I can be a part of something that was so amazing. The way the boys looked up to him made me want to be a coach like that someday. He turned a football team into a family. But I also remember the day my dad came home and told my family he wasn't allowed to coach anymore. The very words brought tears to my tougher than nails father. All the countless days my father took time off work and missed family dinners just so he could try and help young players get better at the game he loved dearly. You may know my father as Coach Pithie, Mr. Pithie, number 42, coach pith, or simply as the coach who loves the game. There is no viable reason as to why Coach Pithie shouldn't get to coach Varsity football at Norwell High School. So I ask that you reconsider. My life was changed because I was a part of something bigger than myself and my dad, Coach Pithie, made it special. He deserves this. And you can ask any boy on his football team and they will say the same.

Jason is a great guy and an amazing coach!! He has been extremely devoted to the Norwell Football Program, giving up a tremendous amount of his personal time. His heart is certainly in the right place when it comes to our kids! I hope Jason gets a chance to give all that he has to give to the NHS Football program!

Throughout my entire youth sports career in Norwell, Mr. Pithie has been my coach. Over the years, I have not only had an exceptional amount of success as a player on the field, but I have created several everlasting memories, and learned a multitude of very important life lessons. He has taught me that dedication, perseverance, and hard work will pay off no matter what. Recently reflecting on my carreer under Coach Pithie, I honestly cried knowing that I would not have another opportunity to play for one of the greatest men I know again. The time I spent with him has been such a fantastic time in my life. I have moved onto a new school, and played football this past Fall there. It was terrible playing under a different coaching staff, but I was able to realize how great and truly dedicated Coach Pithie was. His work ethic and dedication and care is unmatched. Each game I knew everything the other was going to do, and I was fully prepared. Also, he gets to know each player on a personal level, and pulls the best out of each player while motivating them and treating them with great care simultaneously. Not allowing Coach Pithie on your coaching staff would be an immense mistake. He is truly a great man, coach, and role model, and I would do anything to be able to suit up for Coach Pithie again.

Jason is and always will be Noah's favorite coach Norwell needs to reconsider!

Coach pithie has been a great coach over the years and it would be a shame if he was just dismissed. He's been a favorite to others and it would be much appreciated if he could remain apart of the coaching staff at Norwell.

Jason has coached my son Joe through years youth football, little league baseball and youth lacrosse. Joe learned a lot about these sports from Jason and has only good things to say about being on a team coached by him. NHS should accept Jason's generous offer.

My son Tyler has played for Jason and has gained a tremendous amount of football knowledge. Jason not only coached our kids, but taught them accountability and how to be men. Please reconsider. Jason would be a HUGE asset to the norwell high school football program.
