The estate itself is getting bigger and bigger with no local amenities such as those promised to us by the developers when homes were bought. In addition, the extension to the Swale Way has not happened and we appear to be a lost collection of housing at the end of a giant cul-de-sac. To sell land originally allocated for shops, GP surgery, school and pub (according to developers) really would be the final blow to residents. Housing is of course important but every development needs adequate infrastructure to support it and give it a sense of community. I urge the Planning Authorities to see the sense in our plea by rejecting this appeal for further housing to be built on a site originally allocated for local amenities and instead support our cause and hope of Great Easthall becoming a model of what a new estate could be by the provision of much needed facilities.

I object to the current planning proposal for the construction of dwellings only, rather than the neighbourhood amenities this land was always set aside for. I believe there will be sufficient footfall for at least a convenience store to succeed on this area of land, taking in to account the number of residents in Great Easthall plus the significant number of employees that will be working withing Eurolink V, which is soon to be constructed. I believe that, should the submitted proposal be granted permission, then the council will be overlooking some of their strategic policies relating to community services and facilities, as set out in the Swale Borough Local Plan. I feel that the community of Great Easthall, following a number of previous broken promises (completion of the Northern Relief Road, primary school etc) should be provided with those amenities that this area of land was originally intended for.

Shops and a pub is what we need on this estate as stated by the company's that sold us our houses on this land. Sorry but I believe this is classed as false advertising by these companies that have sold us our homes.

We need some amenities around the estate ie a general store selling food and provisions, the place is already overcrowded with houses,

It was strongly indicated during the sales process when I bought my home that the land in question was earmarked to become shops and restaurants. We do not need more homes as we already have a great many more being built at the moment, we already have, a frankly unnecessary, community centre being built, it's about time we had something for the local community that we will actually use.

Too many houses as it is and not enough roads to exit the site. The couch need to work out road access' to ease congestion. Not more homes to add to the already congested area!

We need shops on our estate please, not more houses. Town is always heavy with Traffic and having local shops may reduce congestion. It will create new job opportunities and reduce unnecessary traffic in town. Also will save the community time & money on fuel. Can we get what we have been promised ?
