I believe that the children cannot have a normal school experience with the restrictions and it is risking too many lies to teach in person right now

My daughter is a severe asthmatic & I feel that it’s not fair that none of our children are being thought of when it comes to a virus no one really knows about , especially children with health issues . Both of my children will not be going to school.

There should not even be a reason to have to petition for something that is plain simple common sense!!! Shame on Rhode Island !

These are our children. Distance learning is the only safe way until a vaccine is found.

I have two children, one with Special needs who contracts every cold and flu he has come across and the other has breathing issues. On top of that we live in an in-law house with my parents who are both in their upper 70's.

It truly feels like we are living in a satire. All the guidance we have been given since March suddenly goes out the window? You know we cannot be socially distanced in a classroom of over 20, nevermind 30.

I have twins a boy and a girl 9 years old I'm going to the fourth grade the ASA Messer Elementary and they are both asthmatics I don't think it's safe to send kids to school until there are zero cases in the state of Rhode Island and I refuse to send my kids to school wearing a mask 7 hours a day so me as a concerned mother I would love to continue distance learning because it helped my children they both passed to the next grade

Please do not risk children and school staff, and all their extended families and communities, by re-opening schools in person.

If kids are going to stay home with virtual learning, there needs to be more work and more structure. My kids did not have enough school work to do from March-June 2020. That is a general consensus from many parents as to why they want their kids to go back to school.

Please keep us safe. I am a teacher and a mother and I am so afraid of returning to in person school- for both myself and my son.
