This is totally political theater, Ascend doesn't want US employees anyway, they are contracting everything to Mexico and India. Have they made the same mandate to the contractors? This is nothing short of virtue signalling and heavy handed woke-politics, you're either all in, or you're gone.

BOO FRICKEN HOO. "We the People" think you need to grow up and put your big kid undies on and get the shot. You folks so weak-minded that you fall for any little meme propaganda piece that comes around, and it's embarrassing.

I strongly feel SLT mandating my healthcare is a violation of my civil rights. There are risks associated with the vaccine that should never be forced on someone. The idea that the SLT is forcing us to choose our job over a jab proves how selfish their decisions are considering remote accommodations could be approved. I personally have never 1 day worked in the office for Ascend and I am a highly productive individual.

I never in a million years would have thought I would have to choose between having to put a foreign substance in my body that, quite literally, terrifies me (check out VAERS and see those numbers continue to climb), or keep my job so I can feed and provide shelter for me and my family - but here we are. It's a sad and scary world :(

U.S. federal appeals court freezes Biden's vaccine rule for companies. Will Ascend now reverse this mandate so we can get rid of all this hatred and division?

I have worked for Ascend for over 10 years and this is sickening. The fact that we also are fearful of retaliation shows it’s toxic. The shot is experimental and why wouldn’t the company also allow a negative test? I agree with everyone else’s comments here. It’s become a hostile work environment.

Why is this company taking away my first amendment rights!? Thank you patriots for speaking truth in the face of this injustice! My body, my choice. No one needs to know what happens in the privacy of my own home. I am very troubled by this overreach of power. What's next, telling me what to eat?! Where does this end???

I am in alignment with this petition. Vaccine and health mandates absolutely should not be part of a company’s culture (let alone a health company. Decisions to mandate this sort of action and place expectations of private medical information disclosure upon employees and contractors is unacceptable.

I endorse this with a false name due to concerns for retaliation. My request to leadership is to consider options for team members to work remotely; with the understanding that all previously required deliverables of the position must be met. No special stickers, badges, or privileges to those most comfortable supporting the success of our business on-site or remotely. This mandate just doesn’t feel like the “right thing to do.”

This decision came from a corporate boardroom, not our fellow colleagues. This decision was didn't have people in mind, it had image in mind. I cannot for the life of me see where an actual "Net Benefit" happens here. Employees (GOOD ones) will be lost - replacement/turnover costs The employees that are left will be overworked and the quality could dip significantly. Numerous other issues, none of which are good, can stem from this. I just see zero sense or benefit to this for anyone of us.

For those of us who maybe failed to read the petition statement... This petition is clearly not anti-vaccine, rather anti-mandate. Importantly, it respects the desire for Ascend Learning to maintain the safety of employees at physical locations, by outlining safeguards that are more inclusive and conducive to the principles this great nation was founded upon. The fact that this has caused such a division is evidence enough that a different route should be considered... this is a simple place of employment, not a political theatre. To all those who do not want to sign this petition, thank you for your consideration - I am glad that you, like I, at least clicked the link in the email. Please be respectful of those of differing opinions/choices. To all those who signed, thank you - I stand with you in support of freedom of choice AND a safe work environment.

Ever hear of the 14th Amendment? Well I have, it says I can do whatever I want whenever I want! Private businesses should be regulated by the government to ensure the betterment of all people! Regulate private businesses! Trump 2022?!!!!

I've been an employee for 20 years. I recently got vaccinated so I wouldn't be terminated. I went against everything I believe in for this company. It's caused severe anxiety and depression. I didn't even get a happy anniversary for my 20 years of commitment, loyalty and passion. I got you will be terminated if you don't get vaccinated. I stand by my fellow colleagues.

I am afraid the so-called “limited” infringement on individual liberty never really stays limited. I chose Freedom of choice. Let’s move forward together!

I love this company and the culture of allowing employees to make decisions and choices best for the company and best for themselves. There is a push for work -life balance, and this decision falls in personal life category! Please allow everyone the freedom to make an informed decision best for their lives- medically, mentally, or religiously without having to ask the company for permission.
