I am passionate about the success of Ascend. I know that success comes from a large population of diverse, caring individuals of all beliefs. I have been praying daily with my husband about this. God is with us each step of the way and I trust his guidance our lives. I pray that we can all come together with our different beliefs and work towards a common good. We are Ascend. All of us.

The culture is what brought me to NASM and that culture, unity, and family like feeling of inclusion and support has been gut punched with this mandate. It has been heartbreaking and discouraging since the first announcement was made. Zero consideration, zero accommodation, and zero respect for the people that have given up their lives to keep your business thriving during these troubled times. Where would your business units be without these workers, whom you have had zero concern for their health care choices in the past. Have you given fair and reasonable accommodations for EVERY single employee who has ever had a cold or virus? Do you provide accommodations to every single staff member who is sick, so that they don’t have to come into the office and spread a potentially deadly virus to someone who may have a compromised immune system, in order to still provide for themselves and their families? Have they been mandated to stay home and take drugs to treat their illnesses? Have you terminated every employee who doesn’t get the flu shot? Do you check for hepatitis vaccines for every employee? I wasn’t asked to provide my immunization records as a term of my employment at Ascend Learning. There is a huge disconnect between your protocol in the past and the current “business decision” It is my hope that you will do the right thing and give our medical freedoms back, to keep those decisions between me and my doctor so that NASM can return to the business that we all love to work for and support.

I stand with my peers and myself having the rights to choose what is best for us for all of the reasons listed, and shouldn’t be forced to do something we are not comfortable with to keep our employment and livelihood.

From a company like ascend to be so diverse in companies under their umbrella, I’m surprised at the fact that they mandate a vaccine that does not stop you from getting covid and does not stop you spreading covid. I was under the impression health and science was a fact not a political stance between emotion and objection. This is against our constitutional rights. This will create a huge money loss and segregation. It’s 1870 all over again with a new face of the enemy.
