We have not yet recovered from the impact of hurricane Irma due to some of the same damages that have impacted Anguillians caused by the current Covid-19 pandemic. Anguillians are out work , hotels closed which means...no accommodation taxes nor employment...which trickles down to no purchases of good etc, the banking Resolution has already imposed taxes on Anguillians with no direct gains to them... I can go on and on as to why we are not ready for GST taxes at present BUT it is unfairthat all the other countries in the world are putting money's into their economy and England pulls out weapons at this difficult time.

A VERY BAD TAX for anytime and even worse now. A tax with NO benefits, especially for low- and middle-income families and individuals, and our private sector businesses. A tax that WILL reduce OUR spending power, increase migration and CLOSE businesses in these very difficult times. NO, NO, NO to GST.
