Our Declaration of Independence suggest that All Men Are Created Equal. The equality that Thomas Jefferson inked into this declaration was not just limited to rights of citizens but the spirit of it extends itself to responsibility of citizens as well. Our governmental leadership was sent to represent our interest not to lord over us and certainly not to be separate themselves from the shared responsibility of everyday American Citizens. These men and women in Congress must be sent a message I am calling for the freeze of all congressional leadership salaries and insurance. If the government is in shut down the workers shouldn't be forced to work without pay while the leadership continues to adequately provide for their families while driving us off of an economic cliff. Sign this to say to them until they resolve this no one should get paid Equal Rights - Equal Responsibility.
