I spent the afternoon reading the messages from federal employees who are worried about how they will pay for groceries and medicine this month. It is infuriating that those in power continue to collect a paycheck while so many families are being left behind without any security. I am currently working on a package to send these signatures directly to the offices that need to see the real human cost of this shutdown.

Seeing this grow so quickly reminds me how many people are suffering while those in charge remain untouched by this shutdown. It is validating to know I am not alone in my anger at this double standard.

This shut down is disgusting....stop paying Congress and pay the federal workers!!!
Stop paying Congress and the executive branch and cut off their healthcare and maybe they will develop some empathy for others
The of the Federal Government USA and states have to pay for their insurance, childcare and in most cases living check to check. This is now a matter of principals and mortals.

This is a non-partisan issue! It is deeply troubling that our governing bodies cannot reach a solution. It is criminal that all our Senators and Congressmen/women are continuing to take their salaries. You serve us, not the other way round!!!
