My husband and I support Shelley and Kent. Our 2 children were in DeKalb Show Choir years ago and it helped both of them be better people. It is horrible what the school is doing to her. She deserves so much more positive and to keep her position which has been so successful in all of these years.

I stand with Shelley and Kent Johnson. These two people shaped the person I have become... and assisted me in helping to shape the lives of my students. I grieve with you and I know I am not alone. From my students, who would have never known the love of show choir family without you, we thank you and everything you have done for us.

Why would you get rid of people that are doing exceptional jobs makes no sense, I was a DeKalb grad and around the time they graduated, why mess things up that are not broke........ just sayin!!!!!!!!!seams silly to me.

Shelley Johnson worked with me at Showchoir Camps of America 20 years ago and I still remember the Johnsons kindness and work ethic and good will towards all of us. Everyone at SCA changed my life and I will be forever grateful to that team, Shelley distinctly among them.

As the child of a former high school choral director and show choir director, I can attest to the amount of work and dedication it takes to establish, build, and maintain a successful show choir program. DeKalb is one of the top programs in the nation, and the students that benefit from Shelley and Kent's teachings spread across the country, probably the world. Please consider reinstatement for the DeKalb choral program.

as a property owner in dekalb and Having 3 of my girls go though the show choirs with DHS and Shelly an Kent I find it a slap in the face the way the whole thing played out. My girls always had great things to say about the hard work and efforts of Shelly and Kent. I find it quite underhanded that the whole thing has been done under the cloak with the remarks we cant talk about it....as a tax payer (which is extremely HIGH ) I am your boss ...not talking to your boss usually gets you fired....see you at the polls.

I’m in complete shock and awe. These two individuals are absolutely world class. The legacy they will leave behind will be remembered forever.
