LSU has always treated their Mike the Tiger with 100% care and affection. Ask some of the Vet's and their students how they are feeling right now because Mike is ill. He is a part of the LSU family. Many students have visited him each day to get a break from studying and being away from home it made their day and his to have all the visitors.

As the mom of two tigers, I've seen first hand the love for mike and how well he is taken care of. He is far from an abused animal. Any future tigers would be lucky to be his successor.

I am deeply saddened by the the diagnosis of Mike VI :( I have pictures of him all over my house that actually survived the flood.. I am also very grateful for what y'all do by getting a new tiger from an uncertain future and giving him everything he could want and more! I can't wait to meet the new Mike The Tiger!! LSU!!!!

LSU VET school has the facility and the skill and the dedication required to rescue. Educate! Do not succumb to well intentioned but ill-INFORMED protests. Search and Save another "MIKE"

I don't support the circus because of the way animals are treated. HOWEVER....LSU has the capability of caring for a wild animal with quality care. Please don't break the tradition.
