I’m a former special ed teacher. What this gentleman did was exceptional and unfortunate he had to go to such lengths to get this woman to stop/pay attention. I know the importance & stress of the yearly testing but that does not excuse a person from potentially endangering young children. I’ve had to deal with one of my students trying to run out during drop off / pick up time. This gentleman should not be disciplined at all

I believe the teacher act correctly. AMD the school and the school district should be very proud to have a teacher like him. Thumb up for the action of the teacher.

Maybe the school and community could thank this teacher instead and even give him a raise for putting himself in harms way to help keep the children there safe.

The parent was wrong. She had no regard for the safety of the elementary students!

The mother was in the wrong. The teacher was trying to prevent children from being hurt. Rules are made to be followed not broken. They are not there for one to pick and choose.

He was trying to stop someone who thought they were more important than everyone else, and that putting children at risk wasn’t their problem. He was in the right!

Screw that 'mother''s' self entitlement. This teacher needs a raise and everything.

I think he did a great job. A little unorthodox, but it's what needed to be done.

I run a preschool. It makes me crazy how many people think that the rules of the road/parking lot don't apply to them. These Rules are made to protect our children.

This man was doing his job! He should receive no punishment. She was in the wrong and she knows it!

The women broke the rules/law and went around two sets of cones blocking off the parking lot. Seriously she is cutting through a parking lot which you can be ticketed for in normal situations and ignores all of the signs saying this is not acceptable! He did the right thing, parents like this is the problem! They teach the kids the rules don't apply to them!

As a police officer she would have been ticketed or jailed from being a total concerned idiot. Seems SOR's should be in this location. A + for the couch.. I I I I means nothing.

He did his job!!!! That school was lucky to have a teacher who cared so much, that entitled woman needs to apologize to him publicly!
