This woman should be disciplined for endangering students for her poor time management, not the teacher!! She was repeatedly asked not to do it, she drives around cones at a school because she thinks she's special enough not to have to wait in line and you're even CONSIDERING disciplining the teacher who tried to stop her?? Way to go!! Yeah, that's total sarcasm.

This teacher acted as any parent would to protect their child/ren. The woman did not care about the safety of other children and she knowingly put small children at risk. Teachers that jump in front of bullets are hailed as heroes but jump in front of a car and you may face disciplinary action. He was protecting our children from a deadly weapon...he is a hero!

This gym teacher is the type of teacher the world needs more of!! If you PUNISH him remember...many BETTER PAYING school districts would likely REWARD his dedication.

If she had hit a child cutting through would they say she had a right because she was late. That is a brave teacher you have there at your school. The driver should be fined.

I think that its absolutely absurd to even think about punishing this teacher. If anything they should be congratulating him for trying to keep the school safe. That is reckless endangerment cutting through a school parking lot because you don't want to wait in line like everyone else dropping their kids off at the high school. Perfect example of entitlement and the district allowing it to happen even condoning it by possibly punishing the teacher.

The teacher did what he had to do to protect the children and the school district wants to discipline him? In my eyes, he risked his life to protect them. He should get a reward! Lift the suspension and allow him to return to his job so he can teach the children and protect them.

Dear Administrators, this is the kind of teacher that I would want my children to be with. A parent disobeyed the rules and thinking of the safety of the children this teacher did an action of honor. I hope that you will honor this teacher for putting his life before the children and protecting them. You placed cones there for a reason and no parent late or not should dismiss them.

As a middle school parent, PTA President and substitute teacher at the elementary and middle school level punishing this teacher for his actions would be so wrong and send the wrong message. He acted in the moment to protect the children in his care.

I honestly feel the mother should receive some sort of punishment a ticket or something she was in the wrong and that can not be dismissed simply because she is a member of your community, when we turn a blind eye to things like this it's then that people take advantage of the system we have placed for the protection of our children and the rest of the surrounding community. This Teacher is amazing for acting the way he did he was thinking of the child and not the backlash he received from news outlets. It is completely outrageous to say that he was wrong in anyway I would hope to have more teachers who care that much.
