We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

As a teacher of 25 years, I was disheartened to hear that possible disciplinary actions would be taken against Mr. Morgan. In today's world especially, we think nothing of expecting our teachers to put themselves in harms way to protect children from all sorts of dangers. If that driver had hit an elementary school student, many would have placed blame on the teachers and the district for not having done enough! This spin of this story is so upsetting and sends a wrong message on who did wrong. The driver is the one who needs disciplinary actions and I hope the school district is contacting law enforcement for the driver's blatant disregard of the safety of elementary school children. I sincerely hope you consider the fact that Mr. Morgan is just the type of teacher we need in our schools for he is dedicated to the welfare of students.

The coach was absolutely doing the right thing. This lady endangered the life of students. She could of easily hit a kindergarten.

Thank goodness the teacher took whatever actions necessary to protect the students

All this teacher did was try to protect the students bc some ignorant woman thought the rules didn’t apply to her. She should be punished for reckless endangerment! He only had a second to act before she drove away and he acted. He shouldn’t be punished for that! From Buffalo, NY

The school district is wrong. He was protecting the children. If that lady was in a rush, she could easily have ignored the children in her way since HER child was late for testing. He saved the district a lawsuit and this is how you treat him?

I wish more teachers had the courage to do what he did.

I’ve been dropping off in elementary drop offs for 9 years and I feel for the drop off line teachers. Parents that try to break the rules everyday only caring about themselves. This teacher had probably had enough of these inconsiderate people. But please be safe teachers we value you too.

This is a man who will do anything in his power to protect the children in his community.

He did what any parent would do to protect the children in their care.

This teacher should not be punished for being passionate and dedicated. This was a lucky incident in that no one was hurt and should be used to teach parents their responsibility of respecting and following safety procedures that effect other student's lives. I only hope that there is a teacher or staff member at my daughter's school who would take that extra measure to ensure her safety.

Give this man a promotion!
