This teacher did the right thing. Why didn't the cops do anything. Parents should have to follow rules, set the example

Coach Young was perhaps a bit overzealous, but the parent was clearly wrong in this instance.

As a retired Ft Bend teacher, I can sympathize. I dealt with dozens of parents over the years who thought that the rules were for “others”. The rules are primarily in place for students’ safety. I applaud this teacher for standing up for the rules, even if his method was unorthodox.

Trying to protect children should NEVER be punished!!

This woman broke the law. She not only didn't stop when he asked, she continued moving the car after he was on her hood! She should have followed the law in the first place. She should have followed the law when the teacher asked her to stop. She should have stopped when he jumped on her hood! Who does she think she is??? Good Lord, a student died recently in an auto accident at Dulles! Do people not figure it out?

Good for him - protecting the children! The driver should be ashamed of herself for starting the entire incident.

The parent should know better than to they and their child are above the rules of safety.

The driver should be ashamed for everything....you were late. That's what started this. Your kids should have been late and you both learned a lesson.

Well done coach. Poor form by this Rita person who set a terrible example for her daughter and endangered others at the same time.

He’ did what I’d love to have had the nerve to do as a teacher

Protecting the children comes first and I believe a teacher has every right to take all steps necessary to keep them safe, especially if a parent has such blatant disregard for driving safety.

I will take the side of a teacher trying to protect children over the side of a woman trying to endanger them any day!
