We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

I agree his methods were unorthodox, but punishing this teacher will only reinforce the entitled behavior of the parent who tried to ignore the school's traffic flow. This only continues to teach children that sort of behavior is acceptable. release a public statement of apology about the teacher's behavior, and issue some sort of reprimand, but don't punish him for reinforcing the school's rules.

I support the actions taken by Mr. Morgan.

This hero has thwarted numerous children’s deaths by standing in harms way daily, one entitled individual has the power to stop him?

People need to learn to follow rules that are put in place to keep us safe. Keep up the good work Coach Aaron Morgan. What is this parent teaching her child, that if you’re running late, because of your own poor planning, that it’s okay to ignore authority and break the rules? I think not. If you don’t follow the rules you should pay the consequences. In this case the enforcer of the rules, Coach Aaron Morgan, is being looked at as the bad guy, just because he takes his job, of making sure our kids are safe, seriously.

Thank you for enforcing the rules in the best way you knew how in the moment! Thank you for helping this mom realize she was not the exception to the rule.

Parents have to respect teachers. This was ridiculous. Get to school on time or deal with the consequences.

The street of Dulles has had 2 major incidents involving a student this year. Kudos for protecting our kids!

Great teacher/coach. He put his self in danger to make sure the students were safe because of someone not following directions.

This teacher went above and beyond to protect to do his job and protect the students on campus. In no way should this valuable educator be disciplined. We should be focusing on how to prevent teachers from having to take such actions in order to protect students. Maybe parents can follow the rules.

This teacher should press charges on her.... safety cones obviously mean nothing to her..

I’d want a teacher to do whatever is necessary to protect my child. I don’t even understand why this teacher should be investigated!! If he hadn’t done what he did and she would have hit a child, what then??

This teacher was definitely NOT in the wrong and should not receive any disciplinary action. To do so would show that FBISD doesn't give a hoot about their students or their employees and would be contributing to the onslaught of kids who feel the rules don't apply to them.
