This teacher was defending the kids against this person. The driver was driving erratically & the teacher had no idea if she would harm the kids. He does not deserve punishment!

This is a teacher doing his job. So many parents think they are above the law. How can children learn from parents constantly breaking the rules? When I child dies or a teacher is ran over?

Traffic flow at the FBISD schools in my neighborhood is a disaster. I can certainly understand why this teacher reacted the way he did. He's trying to keep kids safe and parents like that are ignoring him and the rules. He should be praised not punished.

You should be commending this teacher for calling an entitled adult to task and protecting students.

I see Coach Morgan out directing traffic every morning. Thank you for all of your help keeping children safe. Please do not penalize him for enforcing the rules.

Though there might have been a better solution, sometimes extremes have to be taken for the safety of our children. Just follow the rules!

As a parent, how could you put someone’s job on the line that was protecting our children when we can’t. Would it have taken another casualty this school year for a teacher to be recognized for doing his job? As long as the incident was on school grounds, school zone, etc. any child could be around. So if he had to jump on the car like Spider-Man to stop a defiant parent, I don’t see the problem. Punish the teachers in this city that hurt our children, not protect them. She questioned his professionalism; I question her as a parent. Because what would she do if her child could’ve been hit by a car? How would she view the teacher then? Better yet, what would she say about the parent who’s excuse was being late for a test.

Great job teacher keeping the children safe! Shame on the driver for putting children in danger. Amazing that the driver is that clueless about right and wrong.

This man should not receive any disciplinary actions what so ever! Some parents feel like the rules don’t apply to them and endanger our children in the process. He was doing his job by keeping our children safe. If anything, the driver of the car owes HIM an apology!

Good job protecting the kids. It’s about time someone of authority stood up to the group of self entitled people who have no regard for the safety or health of those around them.

You ask a teacher to perform an assignment outside their regular teaching position and while that teacher is performing that assignment ends up being challenged by an adult who knew they were breaking the rules yet he is being punished for being over zealous in his enforcement??? 1.
She drives around the cones 2. He tells her to stop 3. She proceeds to drive around him... I mean seriously he was trying to protect the kids! She was not worried about anyone else but herself and her child being late for a friggin' test that never starts on time anyway!

The parent didn't follow the traffic rules and deserved to be stopped. Coach did the right thing, as he is in the position to make sure the kids stay safe. He should not be punished.

We need to start with the root cause of the issue, parent and student late!! This teacher is protecting the innocent kids at school. Had this been a tragedy or fatality and he did nothing, we would still have something to say. My hat is off to him and i will fight by his side any day for his heroic and courageous act!

FBISD does a terrible job with school drop off traffic. It's a wonder nothing more serious has occurred this year. Good on this teacher! Wish he was at Elkins HS

I support this teacher. Too many children have been killed or injured in our community due to reckless drivers.
